Spring 2017 at Black Spruce Art Works

In May 2017 I will be celebrating my first full year in business as Black Spruce Art Works! It’s been a terrifically busy and successful year, and I thank all those who visited and took interest in what is going on in my tiny gallery and studio! As well as huge thanks to those who purchased my artwork here during the past year.

If you have not been to Maynooth, I encourage a visit – not only to check out Black Spruce Art Works, but to explore and enjoy the town itself. Maynooth –  situated just east of Algonquin Park and 20 minutes north of Bancroft – is a vibrant, diverse and very artistic community that is well worth the drive, with great places to stay and to eat, and much to do!

At Black Spruce Art Works visitors are always welcome into my studio to view work in progress, gain a bit of insight into the creative process and to chitchat about art! I have two comfortable and casual rooms to enjoy my artwork, as well as work by potter Karen Gray, and paintings by Carol Westcott, Marc L. Gagnon and Jasmine Hum. This summer I plan to offer a workshop or two!

I am proud and happy to be part of a community that honours the arts and values the natural environment, and to live and work within the landscape that so inspires me.
I’m looking forward to another terrific and busy summer in this amazing place!
